EQUIPMENT MANAGER

 

COURSE / BUSINESS INFO:

Southward Ho Country Club is a private, 1923 Tillinghast course located on the south shore of Long Island. The club consists of an 18-hole golf course, driving range, and short game practice area. Southward Ho also features 8 clay tennis courts, 4 paddle tennis courts, 4 hard tennis courts, and a swimming facility. Our equipment repair shop features a spacious, well-organized layout designed for maximum efficiency. A large open floor plan and radiant floor heating, grinding room, parts room, and private office provides a comfortable space for all types of maintenance and repairs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The equipment manager is responsible for managing a clean, organized, and productive maintenance facility. Responsibilities will include daily mower set-up, preventative maintenance, reel grinding, ordering parts, inventory, and record keeping.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a golf course mechanic is preferred. Applicant should have experience with gas and diesel engines, electrical components, grinding reels, hydraulics, and welding. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working with golf course equipment.
