BUSINESS INFO: For almost 100 years, Delea Sod Farms has offered premium sod throughout the Long Island and the Northeast corridor. Delea is the preferred choice for a wide variety of professional, municipal, commercial, and residential uses. Homes, parks, golf courses, and major sports fields like Yankee Stadium, use Delea as their sod solution. Delea is growing sod on over 1,700 acres of Long Island’s east end. With farms from Miller Place to Cutchogue, Delea is adding to our team in order to continue providing our customers with the sod quality they have come to expect over the past 90 years.

 

RESPONSIIBILITIES: We are looking for multiple individuals who are willing to learn and assist our current team in all facets of sod management. Candidates will be included in field prep, seeding, fertilizer and spray applications, irrigation, mowing, sod harvesting, and many other aspects of the business that helps our team provide for our customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: At this time, there are multiple positions we are hiring. Farm experience is not necessary, but the candidate should be motivated with a willingness to acquire the skills and experience needed to succeed with Delea. Graduate of a Turfgrass Management program and field management experience are positives as you will be involved with the daily maintenance of our farms. Actively diagnosing issues and supplying solutions will provide vast benefits to our entire management staff. Must have a valid driver's license. COMPENSATION:

$80,000+ DOE
