ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

The Pine Hollow Club is a full service privately owned country club located on the North Shore of Long Island. Originally established in 1955, Pine Hollow was originally built by William Mitchell on a 133-acre Vanderbilt estate and later renovated by Gil Hanse (1997). Recently the club has been purchased and moving forward with an excited ownership dedicated to making improvements to our golf course and clubhouse property as part of our evolving Master Property Plan. Our plan and vision begins this spring with bunker renovation, multiple tee complex upgrades, irrigation upgrades, and aggressive tree management upgrading aesthetics while promoting better playability. Along with the work around our golf course we will also begin extensive clubhouse upgrades, sport court/pickle ball installation, and modifying the daily offerings from our Club to present a different experience for today’s changing membership. For years our team has been dedicated to excellence, and we want you to help provide a world class country club experience on a daily basis as we advance Pine Hollow’s well-respected reputation. The experience gained at our facility and relationships made will help a strong candidate promote themselves in a competitive market and set themselves up for continued success as a professional.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Candidate will work alongside the Superintendent and the entire Pine Hollow Team in all facets of Club and Property Management. The candidate will help manage our Green Department employees on a daily basis, assist in all project work, and will be included in all administrative duties to help prepare for their role in the future. Other daily duties will include but not limited to pesticide/fertilizer scheduling and applications, daily course prep work, irrigation application and repair, preventative maintenance on equipment, training staff in all aspects of daily work, daily communication with our Pro Staff, and the member experience.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must possess a positive attitude, team leadership qualities, and a motivated work ethic. Applicants should also have the drive to complete tasks related to both turf and property management while managing personal life balance. Finally, applicants should be motivated to advance the club, their career, and have a passion for the game of golf.

 

 

 

COMPENSATION:  $72,500 + with more experience, temporary to permanent housing, golf, uniforms, health insurance, career development, local/national association dues, meals, paid vacation, etc.
