ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

 

Atlantic Golf Club is an exclusive high-end private club located on the East End of Long Island. AGC is a 1990 Reese Jones design that has been changed over the years to become the present masterpiece that it is today. Atlantic is known for its firm and fast playing surfaces, high penalizing fescue and rustic bunker design. Atlantic Golf Club is a Championship Course and has played host to the 2010 U.S. Mid-Amateur. Atlantic Golf Club competes with the other top private clubs in the area and provides tournament conditions daily.

 

Currently

• Complete tee-complex renovation planned for the near future

• Completion of state-of-the-art maintenance equipment barn in 2025

• Completion of full bunker renovation in 2024

Past projects include the completion of a state-of-the-art driving range and practice facility, instillation of a new HDPE Rain Bird irrigation system in 2018, and new pumphouse and irrigation pond in 2019.

Position Overview

The right candidate will play an integral role in the daily maintenance of the golf course and will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. You will be involved with but not limited to: Crew Management, hand watering, irrigation maintenance, fertilizer and chemical applications, project management along with anything else that is needed to maintain our high standard of playing conditions.

 

This is a full-time hourly position with housing included. $26/hour

Start Date January 1, 2026

 

Qualifications

2-4 year Turf Management Degree or Certificate or currently enrolled into a program. Preferred 1-3 years of work experience on a golf course. Supervisory experience is a plus.

 

Compensation

On site housing included, Medical, 401k, meals, uniforms, golf privileges, tournament experience, national and local dues, National Turf Show Attendance. One day off weekly during peak season.  Possible scholarship benefits for continuing education.
