ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

 

Harbor Links is a high-end and fast paced public golf course located on the north shore of Long Island. Harbor Links was designed by Hurzdan/Frye and consists of 27 holes, 4 Top rated Athletic Fields, Miniature golf course, and extensive clubhouse grounds. Harbor Links is in the middle of a multi-year in-house fairway drainage project, as well as a multiple year in-house “Better Billy Bunker” renovation, and has more potential capital improvements slated for the near future. We are looking for an individual to take pride in their work and have fun providing a superior product. The individual should be looking to gain a broad range of experiences to further their career and use Harbor Links for either a career stop or as a stepping stone into an area of some of the best golf courses in America. Harbor Links has provided great opportunities for assistants looking to move on after their tenure in the past.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise a crew of up to 30 people, Spray, Hand water, fertilize, renovation work, work directly with Superintendent and other assistants on day to day planning and long range planning.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related Field, also have common sense, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Previous experience is welcomed but not required. We are willing to train the right individual, Applicant is also expected to obtain a NYS pesticide license within 90 days of hire.
